Under God's Wings

Last week I had someone to comment the enemy must really be on the move. He must be! I know with letting God do his work in my life there will be some rocky roads ahead for me. This morning at about 4am I woke up not feeling well. I turned on the computer to get some work done. Some doubts came to my mind. I started recognizing what was going on. I learned to start saying things like "Flee from me satan in the name of Jesus!!"  I started taking steps to keep my focus on the Lord.

The words "Under his wings, under his wings..." (lyrics) came to me. I looked it up on youtube. I had to hear it.  I heard about the scripture

Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

What a verse! Can you imagine being under God's wings? What a wonderful thought being wrapped in his wings. My husband and I had some baby chicks to hatch last year. (pictured above) Momma hen would tuck the little ones under her wings to protect them. This sweet girl did all she could to keep them from harm. If you will notice she puffed her body and wings as wide as she could. There are at least 4 more chicks you can't see in the picture. This is the same with God toward us. He will protect us. I believe this morning was one of those times he covered me and told the devil to go. I am so thankful we have a Father who will protect us.

This is an old hymn called "Under his wings."

May God Bless you on your journey.
Amanda
