Our Anchor

(Ship at Anchor by Mary Mellen)

  Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

 I keep thinking about some trials Tony and I have been thru since we have been married. I heard a few messages on God being our anchor. Without our anchor I am sure things would not have turned out the way they have. I had bad depression during some of those times. I asked God to help me and I could just picture God picking me up out of the mud pit I was in. The devil will do all he can to eliminate a threat. When we are on God's side we are of course a threat to the devil and his schemes.

You see, our anchor is God, faith and hope in him. We are the ships in the sea of life. Jesus is our lighthouse showing us the way.  We have problems in life (rough waves) but God tugs on on our rope a little to keep us in line. Without that anchor holding us in storms we would drift and wind up deep into sin. I don't know about you but through my good moments and my bad I am glad I have an Anchor. We have to trust God to be our anchor in the storms of life. Think about it, he's our strength when we feel we have none left.

May God Bless you on your journey.
Amanda
