Proverbs 31:10

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

I love this verse makes you feel special. Proverbs 31 was what Lemuel's mother taught him about a finding the right woman. This woman is so rare she is very hard to find. She is unique in her own way. In Proverbs 12:4  A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.   Lets look at this a moment. In websters dictionary a crown is a mark of honor, finish (or in my opinion complete) Webster Dictionary says virtuous means: morally excellent : righteous  We are to honor our husbands. If you are unmarried think about honoring your parents. How do we do that? Here are some ways:
  1. Pray for him.
  2. Encourage him often.
  3. Find out ways to help him even if you have to ask.
  4. Pursue intimacy
  5. Speak highly of him and very kind words not hurtful words about him to others or in front of them
  6. Correct him privately
  7. Get involved in his favorite activities. Who knows you might find something else in common doing it.
  8. Have fun
How many times have you sat down with friends and said "uh he just gets on my nerves he does.... and ...." Guilty!! We are to speak of him highly. You'll find out why later in the chapter.

What sets you apart from the average woman? Do you have any talents or hobbies? Ever thought about using them to help others? A proverbs 31 woman would. Get your creative thinking going and practice these things. Who knows you might need them later on in life. I never knew learning embroidery as a child would prepare me to sew buttons and such.

May God bless you as you continue your journey as a Proverbs 31 woman.
