Child abuse at school and blog hop

jesus

Have you seen on the news lately how children with disabilities are being abused? I haven't really watched the news lately but I seen it on facebook. These children are being put into small padded rooms for hours during school. Put in duffel bags, sat on, punched and so on.

As you may know by now my baby boy is dyslexic. I sat down and asked him if anything like that was happening to him without going into full details. Reminded him to let me or Tony know if it does. He is blessed with very good teachers. So good that if he is grumpy or feeling blah that day to let them know. That way if he needs to rest or have some time off (not time out) away from everything they can give it to him.

A friend of mine posted her thoughts on facebook on the child abuse happening recently. This made me think What would I do in this situation? I would do all I could to make sure the person/s involved would be banned from teaching anywhere again. Too many times I have saw where the same crimes happen repeatedly by the same person.

Matthew 5:44 - But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

I can forgive yes and pray for someone. But, I can't stand to see a child mistreated in any way.  That's just my opinion whats yours?

Day 30 Thank you Lord for letting me be a wife and mother.

May God Bless you on your journey.

  1. It breaks my heart and makes me stinking mad when people are mistreated. I don't understand how a person can abuse....

    My nine year old befriended a boy at school who has asperger's. He doesn't really have any friends and people aren't very nice to him. I am so proud of my son for loving on him the way Jesus wants him too. This morning my son told me he has been getting made fun of for being his friend. I'm certain steam came out of my ears! I told my son that he was doing EXACTLY what Jesus wanted him to do. We talked about the love of Jesus and how mean some people can be. It breaks my heart....sadly, this is trickling down from the parents because I have had a few mamas who don't talk to me anymore because I befriended the boy's mama. Shame on them!! I will continue to love all over God's people and teach my children to do the same! Makes me want to cry!!

  2. My daughter stopped in line and picked up a glove for a little girl in a wheel chair. The teacher pointed at her for it. But she went on like she didn't see. I told her how proud I was of her and let me know if she gets into any trouble doing things like that for others. Yep, if kids hear their parents talk about others, they will too. God is love. We are to love others. I wish those teachers could answer one question "How is putting a child in a duffel bag love?"
