My daughter said "mom what do you want for Christmas? You have stuff for crocheting, lots of books I can't think of anything else." I looked at her and said I honestly have no idea. I explained to her I am blessed with all I need and more. This time a few years ago I could have gave a long list. These last few years God has shown me that happiness comes from those people and things I already have in my life. I don't need money or new shoes to make me happy. Those sweet little faces lit up in ahh when there eyes spot the tree. That's a true happiness. I learned to quit thinking or saying "If only i could have..." If we had everything we wanted we would get bored with it and want more. It would be a never ending cycle.
I know my hubby will not be too happy when he finds out I didn't give Dawn any ideas. Oh well, he can always get more candles :) (see yesterdays post Sweet smell) You see I am content with what I have and I'm thankful for it. I have Jesus in my heart that's all that matters. I enjoy singing and talking about him.
