I recently came to the conclusion to stop reading romance books. At least for a while. Let me explain. Every romance book, tv program, movie ect... most of the time has this portrait of relationships being all perfect. They aren't. Normal is when a woman may spend too much shopping or a man mows the wife's favorite flowers. It isn't gonna always be peaches and cream like June and Ward Cleaver. We can get so tied up into believing this fake stuff to where that's what we work to achieve. But, that's not gonna happen.
Horror shows can do the same. Have you noticed as soon as you watch something scary it's like every little pin drop is magnified.
Whatever we hear or see effects how we view things. If it's unrealistic, we will view it that way. So be careful what you take in.
