Sweet Peace

I heard a preacher one time say the bible don't say we won't have troubles. Cause we will.

John 16:33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Last night and this morning I was faced with something that hurt me to my core. I prayed all night and cried all morning. I knew I had to let go of it all. I got down on my knees and prayed that God would see my heart in the matter and I pleaded with him to give me peace. He told me "Don't worry my child, don't worry" That sweet peace came.  Felt so good. I feel so much lifted from me.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

We have to stop ourselves and realize no matter what we do some things we can not control or fix. Only God can. He will give us his sweet peace if we sincerely ask him for it.

May God Bless you on your journey.

  1. You are so right! There are times my heart hurts so badly and I want Jesus to take my pain and my memory of it. It is then that I realize those are the times I feel closest to my Savior. He reaches down and takes hold of me. He reassures me that His love will never leave me or forsake me.
