Step in Faith

Photobucket

If you think about it nothing would have happened in the bible times if people didn't  step out in faith. Take Noah for example if he didn't step out in faith and built ark there wouldn't have been anybody here on earth. Think about the stories of Joseph, Moses, David, and John the Baptist to name a few. Those men would not have gotten far if it hadn't been for them making the choice to step out in faith.

Hebrews 11:1-6

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Is there something God is talking to you about but your afraid to act due to fear?

1John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

We are to set our minds on the Love Christ has for us. You wouldn't tell your child to do something that would harm them would you? Of course not. Same goes with our Father. Yes he lets us learn from our mistakes. But, he wouldn't Ask us to do something that would harm or embarrass us. Why do we fear bad things will happen if we step in faith? Because we look at everything else around us. God is much greater than our fears.  Take that step of faith I'm sure God will bless you for it.

May God Bless you on your journey.

  2. Beautiful post! I just read this morning about Abraham and his faith... and how his son Isaac who carried wood on his back as an almost offering was a sign for the one to come who would actually carry wood on his back and be our final sacrifice- Jesus! Thanks for posting this, you write beautifully!
